Star Trek
To boldly go where no one has gone before............."(Note from Sarah: It's actually to boldly go where no man has gone before. Sheesh!)
Sorry! I just had to start with that.
As you may have gathered I'm a big fan of all things Trek. I have watched all of the various incarnations and movies.
My interest began in the 70's when the BBC used show the (Classic) Star Trek at 7.20pm. I remember begging to be let stay up to see the last ten minutes. (In those days bedtime was 8.00pm). The characters and the stories were what first engaged me. I can remember queuing up outside the Savoy in Dublin to see "The Motion Picture".
Of all the incarnations, I think Deep Space Nine is my favourite, just for sheer drama and breadth of characterisation. But it's an ongoing debate in Trek circles.
